On April 27, 2022, Assistant Professor Chakrit Chanchitpreecha, acting president of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, participated in a seminar to receive policies for driving the development of academic institutions in the fields of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Fine Arts in Thailand (Thailand Academy of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts – TASSHA), also known as ‘Tatcha.’ The seminar aimed to improve the quality of higher education, teacher training, and development. Special Professor Dr. Anek Laothamathat, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, presided over the event, and it was attended by the presidents of 38 Rajabhat universities and the presidents of 9 Rajamangala universities of technology. The seminar also included the signing of a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on driving the development of the social sciences, humanities, and fine arts in the country. The event took place at the King Rama IX Philosophy Hall, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University.
The project for driving the development of social science facilities in the country, known as ‘Tatcha,’ is an initiative led by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. It integrates research, teaching, and innovation to promote the development of social sciences, humanities, and fine arts in the country. The Thailand Institute of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Fine Arts (TASSHA), or ‘Tatcha,’ plays a crucial role in advancing research and developing professionals in the fields of social sciences, humanities, and the arts. This project aims to create value and deliver economic and social benefits to the nation. ‘Tatcha’ serves as an essential infrastructure for research and development in the areas of social sciences, humanities, and interdisciplinary knowledge integration, contributing significantly to the country’s research and innovation ecosystem. It leads to comprehensive solutions, fosters the creation of techniques and knowledge, and supports the development of new research that aligns with current and future global trends. This initiative drives research and the development of professionals in the fields of social sciences, humanities, and the arts, contributing to the creation of national value and sustainable development, ultimately connecting Thailand with the region and the world.
