4. Implementation Guidelines

- Divestment Plan: Develop a phased divestment plan to reduce holdings in fossil fuel companies over five years, systematically decreasing the proportion of such investments.
- Reinvestment: Redirect funds from fossil fuel companies to renewable energy and environmentally and socially responsible projects aligned with the university’s mission.
5. Exemptions Investments in companies committed to transitioning to renewable energy or with a net-zero emissions goal may be considered for exemption on a case-by-case basis.
6. Monitoring and Reporting The university’s investment committee will monitor progress under this policy and issue annual reports detailing divestment actions, reinvestment in sustainable projects, and updates on renewable energy initiatives.
7. Policy Review This policy will be reviewed every three years to ensure it remains aligned with best practices in sustainable and responsible investment.
