The Faculty of Science and Technology at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, in collaboration with the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, organized the Regional National Science Week 2023 under the theme “Science for Life, Environment, and Society” from August 16–18, 2023, in front of the Science Center Building at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University.
Read more: Faculty of Science and Technology Hosts the Regional National Science Week 2023On the first day, the event opening ceremony was presided by Mr. Sannan Wasiksiri, Deputy Governor of Sakon Nakhon. Associate Professor Dr. Thosawat Sitawan, Vice President, delivered the opening remarks, followed by Associate Professor Permsak Yeemin, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, leading a tour of the exhibitions and activities.
The second day featured a special lecture on “Sufficiency Economy and the BCG Society” by Mr. Sittisak Puymom, a new-generation farmer from Suan Pa Ban Din, Sakon Nakhon. The day also included a ceremony to present academic network plaques to 92 schools and the signing of academic cooperation agreements.
On the third day, a tribute ceremony was held to honor King Mongkut, the Father of Thai Science. Assistant Professor Chakrit Chanchitprecha, Deputy President of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, led university administrators, faculty, staff, and students in participating in the ceremony.
Throughout the three-day event, there were educational activities from various departments, along with science and technology competitions, a creative media contest on plastic waste issues, and quiz competitions. The event attracted a large number of students, teachers, and representatives from schools in Sakon Nakhon and nearby provinces, who actively participated in the activities.
