Prof. Chakkrit Chanchitpricha, Acting President of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, officially opened the training program for local resource management, titled “Local Resource Management Course: Batch 1” for the fiscal year 2023. The program was reported by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somboon Chaochaikhong, Director of the Coordination Center for Local Resource Management.

The training, held from January 17 to 20, 2023, welcomed participants from 29 organizations, including local government officials and representatives from agencies supporting the royal initiative across Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Loei, Roi Et, and Udon Thani provinces.

The program aims to support the royal initiative for the conservation of plant genetics, as advocated by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. It seeks to enhance participants’ understanding of local resource management, fostering awareness of the importance of conserving local resources. The training encourages collaboration among local agencies, community leaders, local scholars, youth, and the public in identifying and implementing conservation strategies. By engaging in resource surveys and data collection, participants will contribute to the development of local resource databases, promoting sustainable management and appreciation of local assets.
