From February 7-10, 2023, the Coordination Center of the Royal Initiative Project (RIP) at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University organized a practical training program for the “School Botanical Garden” initiative. The training, held in the Sroi Suwannana Meeting Room (Building 10), followed the five-component curriculum for school botanical gardens, Cohort 1/2023. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ubolsilp Phoeprom, Vice President of the University, who gave the opening speech, with a report presented by Assistant Professor Jiraporn Sumangka, Deputy Director of the Coordination Center of the Royal Initiative Project.
The training included lectures and hands-on activities led by experts, including Mr. Amnat Chonchanachai, an advisor to the Coordination Center, and staff from the Royal Household. Forty participants, comprising administrators, teachers, educators, and staff from educational institutions and other organizations supporting the royal initiative in Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, and Mukdahan, attended the training, representing 20 organizations in total.
This program aimed to enhance understanding and practical skills in developing school botanical gardens, aligning with the royal vision for educational and environmental stewardship.
