On January 24, 2023, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), organized a marketing promotion event to publicize and introduce U2T for BCG products. Dr. Danuch Tanterthit, Secretary to the Minister of MHESI, presided over the opening of the event, while Assoc. Prof. Chakrit Chanachitpricha provided a report on the project’s objectives and progress in Sakon Nakhon.
Held at the Mahawachiralongkorn Auditorium, the event aimed to drive the economy and society based on the BCG model following the COVID-19 pandemic. It focused on enhancing competitiveness in production and services in the BCG sector by leveraging knowledge, technology, and innovation. The initiative also aimed to create employment opportunities for recent graduates and locals, equipping them with essential skills relevant to the BCG economy.
The project covered a total of 125 sub-districts in Sakon Nakhon, with responsibilities divided among three universities: Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University (45 sub-districts), Kasetsart University, Sakon Nakhon Campus (57 sub-districts), and Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Sakon Nakhon Campus (23 sub-districts).
The day’s activities included morning sessions for discussions and gathering insights on the needs of entrepreneurs, as well as promoting U2T for BCG products through scientific and technological innovations. The afternoon featured a Facebook Live event hosted by the Ministry of MHESI, showcasing products to the consumer market, aimed at expanding opportunities and improving competitiveness for businesses in the region.
At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Danuch presented certificates of recognition to communities and products that participated in the U2T for BCG initiative, highlighting their contributions to the project.
