“Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, in collaboration with the Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection and the Office of Learning Promotion, Sakon Nakhon Province, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly develop and implement the SAKOO Online Learning Platform.
The MoU was signed by Asst. Prof. Chakrit Chanchitprecha, Acting President of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University; Ms. Siriprakai Vorapreecha, Deputy Director-General for Behavioral Development, Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection; and Mr. Chanchai Phonkongsaeng, Director of the Office of Learning Promotion, Sakon Nakhon Province. Executives and personnel from all three agencies were present as witnesses at the signing ceremony, held at the Soi Suwanna Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Building 10, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University.
This collaborative initiative focuses on the development and utilization of the SAKOO Online Learning Platform, which aims to provide educational opportunities for out-of-school youth in Sakon Nakhon Province. The platform enhances both academic and life skills, ultimately enabling learners to attain higher educational qualifications.
The Faculty of Education, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, is responsible for developing online courses aligned with the non-formal education curriculum, specifically designed for juveniles reintegrating into society after release from juvenile detention centers. The project is supported by the Equitable Education Fund (EEF) and is based on the official curriculum of the Office of Learning Promotion.
Additionally, the agreement includes the creation of systems and mechanisms to facilitate the transition of reintegrated youth from the Juvenile Observation and Protection Center into continued educational oversight, support, and follow-up—jointly managed by the three collaborating agencies through the SAKOO platform.
This MoU marks a significant step toward ensuring educational equity, reducing recidivism, and fostering long-term personal and social development through accessible, inclusive learning technologies.”
