The event also involved a foresight exercise for the development of future-oriented strategies to address poverty in the province. The MOU was signed among provincial authorities, government agencies, and civil society organizations in Sakon Nakhon.

The event was presided over by Mr. Natthawat Wiriyanaphaphon, Governor of Sakon Nakhon Province. Professor Dr. Tosawat Sitawan, Vice President of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, delivered the welcoming remarks. The project objectives were presented by Associate Professor Dr. Kongpop Cha-amat, Vice President and Head of the Research and Innovation Project for the Integrated and Precise Poverty Eradication Platform in Sakon Nakhon.

This collaborative effort aims to strengthen the mechanisms for eradicating poverty through comprehensive and data-driven approaches. By integrating the contributions of all relevant sectors, the initiative ensures inclusive support for impoverished households, enabling them to access rights and welfare services, improve their quality of life, and attain sustainable self-reliance. The project also focuses on capacity building, vocational development, and income enhancement strategies tailored to local contexts, while promoting social mobility.

Additionally, the MOU seeks to develop and enhance a province-wide database of poor households based on integrated and accepted data sources from all relevant sectors. This effort supports the creation of a provincial poverty eradication strategy aligned with district-level and provincial development plans (One Plan). The strategy emphasizes the use of area-based mechanisms and collaborative action to lift households out of poverty in a sustainable and measurable way.

A total of 45 organizations from the public sector and civil society signed the agreement. University administrators, personnel from Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, and provincial government officials attended the signing ceremony as witnesses at the Sroi Suwanna Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University.”
