Research and Development Institute Promotes Safe Vegetable Production Systems for Aging Farmers

On June 13, 2023, the Research and Development Institute of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, through its Local Research Coordination Center, led by Dr. Pijika Timsuksai and her team, visited Ban Pa Po, Dan Muang Kham Subdistrict, Khok Si Suphan District, Sakon Nakhon Province. The purpose was to follow up, support, and exchange knowledge with the local research network (CBR) under a project to develop safe vegetable production systems for aging farmers in Dan Muang Kham Subdistrict.

The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Omsin Kamuk, District Chief of Khok Si Suphan, Ms. Samruay Phimmee-Lai, President of Dan Muang Kham Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Ms. Pritsana Boonsroi, Director of Muang Khai Noi Health Promotion Hospital, along with local government officials and the target group of farmers. The activities included a presentation on the project’s objectives, action plans, and goals, with an emphasis on collaboration and shared learning. Additionally, the session featured knowledge exchange with a network of farmers from Wanorn Niwat District, Sakon Nakhon Province, aiming to create a foundation of best practices for further development in the future.
