The Sakon Nakhon City Museum, located within the Institute of Language, Arts, and Culture at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, welcomes visitors every Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The museum offers a unique glimpse into the rich history and cultural heritage of Sakon Nakhon and its neighboring districts.
Inside, visitors will find a range of significant ancient artifacts that tell the story of the region’s past. Among the highlights are sacred statues, including Luang Pho Phra Ong Saen (Phra Saen Muang Sakon), an important Buddha image, and Phra Bang Muang Sakon, a revered figure representing local beliefs and spirituality. Additionally, the museum houses a statue of Lord Shiva and numerous other artifacts that reflect the region’s ancient religious and cultural heritage.
