On May 26, 2023, the research team from the Center of Excellence in Energy, along with the Research and Development Institute of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, launched the project “Development of Production Process Standards and Products for the Mushroom Farming Business Group in Sakon Nakhon Province.” The project received support from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) as part of the 2023 research and innovation promotion activities, building on the success of the previous year’s efforts.
The project, held at the mushroom farming group in Ban Non Somboon, Dong Mafai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Sakon Nakhon, aims to enhance the mushroom farming industry with innovative technologies. Dr. Kratchit Singhsuk, the project leader, presented various innovations, including:
A high-pressure steam sterilization boiler
A mixing machine for mushroom spawn packing
A semi-automatic mushroom spawn packing machine with 4 heads
A mushroom spawn production facility adhering to the Thai Industrial Standards (TIS 2510-2563)
The team also shared the framework for the project’s implementation and exchanged ideas with business group members. Additionally, teachers and students from Thathanarayan School observed the activities to identify potential projects for innovation development in the future. This phase of the project aims to improve the standardization of production processes, enhance product quality, and create a sustainable model for mushroom farming in the region.
