Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University and NRCT Deliver Innovations and Technologies to Community Enterprises

On June 22, 2023, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, in collaboration with the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), officially delivered a set of innovations and technologies to community enterprises in Kusuman and Tao Ngoi districts, Sakon Nakhon Province. The handover ceremony took place at the Tao Ngoi District Office and was attended by Associate Professor Dr. Sakthai Surakitboworn, Deputy Chair of the Sub-committee on Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation Integration, Senator Theerawat Boonsom, Director of the Division of Research Promotion and Support, NRCT, and Associate Professor Chakrit Chanchitpreecha, Acting President of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, alongside researchers and project teams.

The delivery focused on empowering three community groups:

  1. The Preservation and Restoration Group for Local Rice Varieties, Hom Dok Hang in Um Chan Subdistrict, Kusuman District, received five sets of innovations and technologies.
  2. The Happy Farmers Herbal Enterprise in Tao Ngoi Subdistrict, Tao Ngoi District, received four innovations and technologies.
  3. The Thai Nong Bua Herbal Enterprise in Bueng Thawai Subdistrict, Tao Ngoi District, received five innovations and technologies.

This initiative was funded by the NRCT under the project Enhancing Agricultural Production in Drought Areas Using Innovations and Technologies Tailored for Local Communities in Sakon Nakhon Province.” The project delivered 10 sets of renewable energy-based technologies and local resource management innovations to these groups.

These technologies aim to improve production efficiency, enhance product quality, and elevate the overall quality of life for residents in these communities, contributing to sustainable local development.
