“Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University Receives International Accreditation from SIDCER-FERCAP The Human Research Ethics Office, under the Institute of Research and Development at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, has brought international recognition to the institution by achieving certification for compliance with international ethical standards in human research. The university has been officially accredited by the Strategic Initiative for Developing Capacity in Ethical Review (SIDCER) and the Forum for Ethical Review Committees in the Asian and Western Pacific Region (FERCAP), making it the first Rajabhat University in Thailand to receive this distinguished honor.
The international standard assessment process took place from April 23–25, 2024, with a follow-up review conducted on September 11, 2024. The evaluation confirmed that the university meets globally accepted ethical review standards for human research.
On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sakorn Intachai, Director of the Institute of Research and Development, along with Ms. Wipawan Yaisomboon, Head of the Human Research Ethics Office, and Ms. Natthida Promprasri, Human Research Ethics Office Officer, represented the university to receive the honorary plaque at the 24th FERCAP Conference, held from November 24–27, 2024, at The Everest Hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal.
This achievement marks a significant milestone in the university’s ongoing commitment to advancing and sustaining international standards in human research ethics.”
