On January 18, 2024, the Institute of Research and Development, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, hosted the “SNRU Research and Innovation Expo Award 2024” at the Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Technology and Innovation Research and Analytical Operations Building. The event, now in its third year, was a research and innovation competition co-organized by Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University and the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).
A total of nine research and innovation projects were submitted by university research teams. The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Teerawat Boonsom, Director of the Research Promotion and Support Division, NRCT, who served as a distinguished judge alongside university executives and faculty members.
The awards ceremony recognized outstanding research and innovation projects based on their practical applicability and commercialization potential at regional and national levels. The awarded projects included:
Gold Award: “Development of a Tropical Cloud Formation Model to Assess the Possibility of Raincloud Formation During PM2.5 Exceedance Using Satellite Data” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wilawan Khamhan and team.
Silver Award: “Creative Design of Indigo-Dyed Fabric Using Batik Wax-Resist Techniques” by Mr. Amnat Sunaprom and team.
Bronze Award: “Edible Bowl – No Waste” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arunrat Khamhaengphon and team.
Honorable Mentions: “Fixed Sure Restraint V.2: Innovation for Patient Restraint Systems” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Neeranuch Worataisong and team. “Herbal Compress Squeezer Machine to Enhance Commercial Production for Community Enterprises” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krissada Prommapinij.
The winning projects will go on to represent the university at regional and national innovation platforms, showcasing the research potential and creativity of SNRU scholars.
