“Faculty of Science and Technology Hosts “SNRU Science Summer Camp 2024” to Enhance Innovation and Research Skills Among High School Students
The Faculty of Science and Technology, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University (SNRU) organized the “SNRU Science Summer Camp 2024” during 20–21 May 2024, with the objective of developing scientific, innovative, and research skills among high school students from partner schools in Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Kalasin, and Mukdahan provinces.
The opening ceremony on the first day was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sombun Chaoshaikhong, Vice President of SNRU, who delivered the opening remarks. Asst. Prof. Permsak Yeemin, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, gave a report on the objectives and expected outcomes of the program.
The camp featured nine interactive learning stations, each designed to encourage hands-on experiences and inquiry-based learning. The activities were led by academic staff from various departments within the faculty, with support from affiliated units. The event also engaged student assistants and mentors who provided guidance to the 80 participating students throughout the program.
This initiative is part of SNRU’s continuing effort to promote STEM education and nurture scientific curiosity among youth in local communities, in line with its mission to support educational and regional development.”
