The SNRU poverty eradication team is scaling up its “Frog Farming” model at the Makham Pom Learning Center in Mueang Sakon Nakhon using a “Pooled Farming” approach. The project, launched on December 3, 2024, aims to leverage the community’s proven success in frog cultivation, which currently yields a profit of 6,000 THB per pond every 3–4 months. To overcome issues like high operational costs and lack of stock, the research team will provide tadpoles, advanced feed production training, and install a solar-powered water management system. This initiative integrates 50 new beneficiaries with existing farmers as mentors, with a long-term plan to establish a sustainable community enterprise for year-round frog production.
