SNRU Hosts Workshop to Enhance Advisor Capacity in Social Engineering Program
From 21 to 23 June 2024, the Division of Student Development, under the Office of Student Affairs at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University (SNRU), organized a Social Engineering Program Workshop on “Advisor Capacity Development” at the Creative Activity Room, 3rd Floor, Multipurpose Building (Building 20), SNRU.
The event was officially opened on 21 June 2024 by Asst. Prof. Chakrit Chanchitpreecha, President of the University, with an opening report delivered by Dr. Winita Panich, Assistant to the President for Student Development and Special Affairs.
This training workshop serves as a key mechanism for developing students’ soft skills through the social engineering framework. Its objective was to equip participating faculty members and staff with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the five core tools of social engineering, as well as to foster skills in active listening and student counseling.
A total of 80 participants from various faculties, offices, and institutes took part in the program. Upon completion of the training, these faculty members and staff are now qualified to serve as academic advisors for students who have previously undergone the social engineering curriculum, particularly in guiding them through community-based projects.
This initiative reflects SNRU’s ongoing commitment to integrating academic mentorship with community engagement, empowering both educators and students to contribute meaningfully to local development.
