The Catfish Farming Project for Household Food Security and Integrated Learning

The Catfish Farming Project for Household Food Security and Integrated Learning is part of the “One Curriculum, One Community” initiative, aimed at promoting food security within households. Through this project, families can raise catfish as a food source and as a potential livelihood option. The project also offers students the opportunity to participate in hands-on training sessions, lectures, and community outreach activities, providing agricultural knowledge to local farmers.

The project was implemented in Ban Na Kha, Village No. 14, Chang Ming Subdistrict, Phanna Nikhom District, Sakon Nakhon Province, under the Aquaculture Science Program within the Faculty of Fisheries. The training sessions took place on March 30–31, 2023, at the multipurpose pavilion in Ban Na Kha.
The project provided valuable knowledge to both the local community and students on sustainable catfish farming practices, supporting food security at the household level.
It aimed to maximize benefits by enabling participants to apply their skills further. Target groups included local farmers, students, faculty members, and staff from the Fisheries Department at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University.
