The DSS Center organized a Thai Sign Language training for communication aimed at individuals involved with students who are hearing impaired.

On August 24-25, 2023, the Disability Support Services (DSS) Center at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University held a Thai Sign Language training program for hearing-impaired students in the Creative Activities Room, Building 20. Dr. Porrathep Sathiannopakaw, the Deputy President, officially opened the training, and Mr. Theerayut Sadaeng, head of the DSS Center, reported on the organization of the event.

The purpose of this training was to provide personnel involved in the education of students with disabilities with knowledge and understanding of the nature and culture of hearing-impaired students. It also aimed to enhance their ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and classmates, allowing these students to study, learn, and live happily in society with their peers. The training had 40 participants and included activities such as general knowledge about Thai Sign Language, finger spelling, spelling tones, spelling numbers, and practical exercises with vocabulary from various categories.
