On January 17, 2024, at 3:30 PM, the Institute of Language, Arts, and Culture, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, held a press conference for the 15th Moonmang Isan Festival under the theme “Sakon Ma Craft”, at Building 1 of the institute.
The event was organized in collaboration with Sakon Nakhon Province, the Sakon Nakhon Provincial Administrative Organization, Sakon Nakhon Municipality, the Provincial Office of Culture, the Provincial Office of Tourism and Sports, and the Provincial Cultural Council. The objective was to publicize and promote the upcoming festival.
The press conference featured academic panel discussions, the Soraphanya Chant Contest to promote cultural heritage, a Sakon Craft Village Workshop, the Esan Cover Dance Contest, and a light-and-sound performance titled “Naruemit Vijit Sin: The Artistic Wonder of Sakon Nakhon”, among many other engaging activities.
The 15th Moonmang Isan Festival “Sakon Ma Craft” is scheduled to take place from February 19 to 22, 2024, at the Huai Sai riverside area within the campus of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University. The event aims to promote and preserve traditional customs, revive and pass on local wisdom, elevate cultural tourism in Sakon Nakhon, and foster the continuation of local arts and culture.
