On June 27, 2023, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University (SNRU), through its Faculty of Science and Technology, conducted a hands-on workshop titled “Production of Mosquito Repellent Spray and Multipurpose Cleaning Solution with Local Herbal Extracts” for the Ban Sang Kho community in Phu Phan District, Sakon Nakhon Province. The event was led by Associate Professor Permsak Yeemin, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, along with faculty staff and students. The activity was held at the Sang Kho Subdistrict Municipality, where Mr. Meechai Deemakarn, the Mayor, presided over the opening ceremony.

The target participants included community leaders, women’s groups, childcare center staff, and teachers and students from three schools within the Sang Kho Subdistrict.
The initiative aimed to develop practical skills and encourage the use of natural, locally available ingredients to reduce chemical use and household expenses. During the session, 250 liters of the produced solutions were distributed to temples, the Sang Kho Subdistrict Municipality, childcare centers, and 10 schools within the municipality for use in various community activities.
This project underscores SNRU’s commitment to empowering local communities through knowledge transfer and sustainable practices.
