On January 19, 2024, a research team from Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University (SNRU), in collaboration with stakeholders from Kud Bak District, organized a stakeholder participatory workshop for the Poverty Alleviation Project in Kud Bak District, Sakon Nakhon Province. The event was held at the Multi-purpose Hall of Kud Bak Subdistrict Municipality.
This initiative was part of the university’s collaborative effort with the Kud Bak local community to engage relevant stakeholders in jointly addressing poverty in the area. Alongside her, Dr. Sutisa Songleknok and other research team members shared key findings from data collection and poverty analysis in Kud Bak District and the wider Sakon Nakhon Province.
The project is supported by funding from the Program Management Unit for Area-Based Development (PMU-A) under a national initiative to achieve integrated and targeted poverty reduction in Sakon Nakhon Province. It is conducted in partnership with the Center for SDG Research and Support, Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University.
The workshop was designed to facilitate participatory foresight activities with local stakeholders. Using specialized facilitation tools and processes, the session created a platform for open dialogue, mutual learning, consultation, and shared vision-building. The ultimate goal was to collaboratively develop a foresight framework for poverty alleviation, starting at the district level and extending toward province-wide impact.
