Project to provide educational opportunities (Ban Than Tawan Children’s Group)

The Baan Than Tawan children’s group was founded based on the vision of Assistant Professor Niphon Insin, the former President of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University. Students affectionately call him “Archan Pu,” as he provides opportunities to financially disadvantaged students from rural areas who are determined to pursue bachelor’s degrees. The university is dedicated to promoting alternative education, fostering mental development, cultivating good character, and encouraging a commitment to societal betterment while maintaining a thirst for knowledge. Students from the Baan Than Tawan group receive free accommodation and close support. They have a dedicated committee that cares for their well-being, providing guidance on various matters, essentially becoming their extended family. Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University also runs the “Baan Than Tawan” project, aimed at helping students generate income while they study. Annually, this project provides scholarships and covers daily living expenses for students. This initiative began in 2000 and continues to this day.
