On November 18, 2023, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, in collaboration with Kasetsart University, Chalermphrakiat Campus in Sakon Nakhon, organized the annual “Nontree Rajapruek” charity event at Wat Koksomhong (Suwannanin Jindaram) in the Nong Daeng community, Thatchangchum sub-district, Mueang district, Sakon Nakhon.
On November 17, the organizers set up the charity event and collected donations for traditional offerings at the lobby of Building 1, Institute of Language, Arts, and Culture, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University. On the day of the event, starting at 9:30 AM, university executives, faculty, staff, and Buddhist followers participated in a procession to deliver the charity offerings to Wat Koksomhong.
The total amount raised by Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University was 180,671 baht, contributing to a grand total of 700,199.50 baht from both Kasetsart University and the Nong Daeng community. The funds will be used to construct a concrete area at the temple and support the Buddhist activities of the temple’s monastic community.
Additionally, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University organized a food station for participants and nearby residents, fostering community engagement and support during the event.
