On February 21, 2023, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sakon Nakhon Hospital to collaborate on academic development in areas such as teaching, research, and academic services. Assoc. Prof. Chakrit Chanachitpricha, Acting President of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, and Dr. Phulsawad Wongwichit, Deputy Director for Medical Affairs at Sakon Nakhon Hospital, signed the agreement in the presence of executives from both institutions at the Student Council Meeting Room, Building 20, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University.
The MOU aims to develop joint academic programs, research, and services, as well as improve both parties’ personnel skills through reskilling, upskilling, and new skills development. The collaboration also focuses on joint research to address community problems and promote the use of research outcomes in Sakon Nakhon.
In addition, Mr. Wutthiphong Phanthumnan, Director of the Office of Academic Promotion and Registration, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Dr. Pavin Phu Jantuek, Head of the Ophthalmology Department at Sakon Nakhon Hospital. The MOA focuses on developing teaching, research, and academic services, particularly in eye care. The agreement includes creating short courses to improve the skills of primary school teachers (grades 1-6) in eye measurement, developing an application to educate teachers on eye testing, and collecting data on students’ eye health. The collaboration also supports research, technological innovation, and public service through resource sharing and integrated budget management to maximize effectiveness.
