Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University (SNRU) is making a significant contribution to the arts and heritage of the region by actively engaging local youth in cultural preservation. On July 27, 2024, the Language, Arts and Culture Institute successfully hosted the “Creative Arts Camp” (ค่าย สรรค์ สาน ศิลป์) for students from Sumthum Witthaya School. Held at the university’s Cultural Center, the camp served as an intensive, hands-on workshop focusing on the development and practice of local folk arts and cultural performance. The objective was to cultivate skills and creativity while strengthening the cultural network within the community. This proactive initiative underscores SNRU’s commitment to using its resources to preserve regional cultural identity. By providing a platform for young people to engage directly with their heritage, the university ensures that these invaluable traditions are not only remembered but actively practiced and passed on, solidifying SNRU’s role as a leading steward of arts and culture.
