“On May 14, 2025, the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, organized the launch event for the project titled “Ja-(Learn)-Muang: Developing Collaborative Mechanisms from All Sectors to Transform Sakon Nakhon into a Learning City.” The project focuses on creative economy based on the city’s historical and cultural foundations. The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Weerarat Theeramitr, Deputy Governor of Sakon Nakhon Province, and Assistant Professor Chakrit Chanchitprecha, President of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, delivered the project report at Sukkasem Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Sakon Nakhon Municipality. The project aims to develop knowledge bases, learning activities, and learning spaces related to the history and culture of Sakon Nakhon that are inclusive and suitable for all groups. It promotes integrated learning to foster community pride and attachment. The initiative seeks to stimulate civic awareness, develop collaborative mechanisms across sectors with enhanced capacity for cooperation, and establish sustainable governance structures to drive the city’s transformation into a learning city. By leveraging historical and cultural capital as a foundation, the project encourages participatory urban development that supports growth based on a creative economy.”
