The 15th Munmang Isan Festival, titled “Sakon Ma Craft,” was jointly organized by SNRU’s Institute of Languages, Arts, and Culture, Sakon Nakhon Province, Sakon Nakhon Provincial Administration Organization, Sakon Nakhon Municipality, Provincial Office of Culture, Provincial Office of Tourism and Sports, and the Provincial Cultural Council.
The opening ceremony on 20 February 2024 was presided over by Mr. Chanon Wasiksiri, Deputy Governor of Sakon Nakhon, with a report delivered by Asst. Prof. Chakrit Chanchitpricha, Acting President of SNRU. The event featured a variety of cultural programs including “Sakon Craft Village,” the “Esan Cover Dance Contest,” and exhibitions of traditional arts, crafts, and local cuisine, all aimed at preserving and elevating local heritage to international standards.
