On March 2, 2023, the Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University Faculty Council and civil servants held a seminar on the values that foster a positive organizational culture, focusing on the “No Gift Policy” (refusing gifts). The seminar took place at the Soisuwanna Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Building 10, and was attended by over 100 participants, including administrators, faculty, and staff from the university.
The seminar was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tosawat Sitthawan, Vice President of the university, with Dr. Chokchai Khahattha, President of the Faculty Council, providing a report on the event. The seminar was honored by the presence of Mr. Yutthana Saraban, Senior Anti-Corruption Officer, and Ms. Lapassaveer Kothphu, Assistant Researcher from the Sakon Nakhon Provincial Anti-Corruption Office, who served as speakers. The session aimed to clarify misunderstandings surrounding the acceptance of gifts and donations, addressing the issue in the context of Thai culture, which often involves generosity in organizations. The university’s No Gift Policy was introduced to promote transparency, ethics, and integrity in the workplace. It also serves to reduce the risk of corruption and conflicts of interest by not allowing gifts or presents related to official duties.
