On June 16, 2023, the Center of Excellence in Alternative Energy at the Research and Development Institute of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University organized a practical training workshop on innovation and technology in alternative energy. Dr. Wiparat De-Ong, Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), inaugurated the event online, and Associate Professor Chakrit Chanchitpreecha, Deputy President of the University, delivered the opening remarks. Over 500 participants, including researchers, students, and teachers from affiliated schools, attended the event at the Maha Vajiralongkorn Auditorium.
The Center of Excellence in Alternative Energy emphasizes the importance of alternative energy research and development and is dedicated to spreading knowledge and understanding of alternative energy, which plays a crucial role in daily life. The workshop aimed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to advance alternative energy innovation, encouraging further development and practical application of alternative energy technologies. Participants were also encouraged to apply these innovations in an upcoming local sustainable development innovation contest.
Workshop activities included a keynote speech titled “The Path of an Innovator” by Professor Dr. Tosawat Sitthawan, Vice President of the University, and a special lecture on “Solar Cells in Everyday Life” by Associate Professor Dr. Kongpop Chaamat, also Vice President. Following the lectures, hands-on training sessions were conducted by researchers from the Alternative Energy Center and the Glass and Materials Technology Center of Excellence at Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University. The training included various practical stations, such as thermoelectric technology, thin-film technology, electromechanical energy, and light energy.
