The Apisit Coordination Center conducted training in school botanical garden management, 2nd session of 2023.

From March 7-10, 2023, the Coordination Center for the Office of the King’s Projects (O.K.P.) at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University organized a training workshop on school botanical garden management. This workshop, titled “Survey and Establishment of Local Resource Databases” (Batch 2/2023), was held at the Chamchuri 1 Auditorium at the university.

The opening ceremony took place on March 7, 2023, with Assoc. Prof. Chakrit Chanachitprecha, the Acting President of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, delivering the opening speech. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somboon Chawchaikhong, Director of the Coordination Center for O.K.P., reported on the event.

The training featured both lectures and practical activities, with Mr. Amnat Chanachanaichai, an advisor to the Royal Project on Plant Genetic Conservation, and his team acting as trainers. The course was aimed at school administrators, teachers, and staff from educational institutions who had met the criteria for the Royal Initiative School Botanical Garden Program, as well as local government officials involved in local resource management. A total of 76 participants from 33 organizations in the upper northeastern region of Thailand attended.
